The club prides itself on its competitive opportunities held within the club. There are a number of different types of event aimed at senior members and juniors playing for senior teams:

Club Championships
The championships are drawn in early June (entries due by 20th May) and people arrange their own matches ensuring they meet deadlines for the different rounds with the finals being played on Sunday 16th September. The pairings for doubles are drawn with first team members not being able to play together.

Sunday Afternoon Competitions
These are mostly doubles events starting at 2pm and lasting till about 5pm. Some events are "drawn" where you enter on your own and get drawn with a partner, others are "invitation" where you ask someone from the club to play and enter as a pair. In addition there is the senior/junior doubles where juniors will be drawn with seniors as well as the tie break singles. You need to enter the event a week before. Entry fee is £1.

Winter Doubles Competition
These are for pairs from the club (find you own partner, or contact Pete to see if he can match you up with someone). The competition involves 4-6 matches played before Christmas for the men's and women's doubles and between Christmas and Easter for the mixed. Entries are due in the autumn. Pairs arrange their own matches.

Floodlit Competitions
This is for teams within the club with up to six players per team (with some restrictions to even out the standard). Each team captain gets a schedule and has to put out a doubles pair to play against another team. Played between October and Easter on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Members are all encouraged to organise or join a team.
